Bila kita mengetikkan kata kunci (keywords) tertentu di address bar Firefox, maka secara default kita akan dibawa ke mesin pencari Google, atau kalo ’sedang beruntung’ kita bisa langsung dibawa ke website yang paling berkaitan dengan kata kunci yang telah kita ketikkan itu, atau istilahnya ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ ala Google.

Nah, kemaren gara-gara menginstall speedbit download accelerator, tanpa sadar default search engine-nya telah tergantikan dengan SE-nya speedbit (padahal dianya powered by google juga). Mo ganti ke- default kok ga tau caranya, ujung-ujungnya back to google, langsung ketik “firefox change search engine address bar” dan bla bla bla, muncul hasil pencarian yang cukup relevan, klik dua sumber teratas dan meluncur ke postingan yang emang sesuai yang diharapkan.

Ternyata untuk mengembalikan SE ke default -nya cukup mudah, caranya :
1) ketik “about:config” di address bar firefox, tekan enter, kalo ada peringatan yang muncul jalan terus aja

2) Pada filter bar, ketikkan aja “keyword.url“, ntar muncul string yang berisi setting search engine

3) Dobel klik pada bagian Value-nya, lalu edit ato ganti dengan kayak gini :

4) Selesei, dan mesin pencari di search bar dah kembali seperti semula
Kalo nggak suka dengan Google, kita juga bisa menggantinya dengan mesin pencari yang laen,
